Thomas Discovers the Kitchen Drawers!

Last night while I was making dinner Thomas was crawling around on the floor and discovered the drawers! He pulled it open, pulled himself to standing and then started pulling everything out. He happened to have chosen the drawer where we keep all of the plastic bags and various food wrapping which all have blades on their boxes. This morning I replaced the contents with baby friendly items. He has been back for several more visits.

Stairs

Thomas has been crwling for awhile now and we have successfully kept him away from the stairs. The other night at my parents' house he finally discovered them and managed to climb them, under the watchful eye of his Aunt Jenny. Yikes!

Great Pumpkins!

A few nights after Haloween we took Thomas out to dinner in San Francisco with some friends. Outside the restaurant was a 1200 pound pumpkin surrounded by lots of little pumpkins. Thomas and his Grandpa explored them all!

Christening

Last Sunday Thomas was Christened at the Stanford Memorial Church in Palo Alto. True to form he squirmed around so much that we finally tucked the Christening gown into his diaper and let him loose!

Thomas Meets the Jack-O-Lanterns

The day after Halloween I decided to turn the Jack-O-Lanterns toward the window since that is one of Thomas' favorite places to pull himself up to stand. It took him a few days to really notice them but he finally did.

Swingin'

Here is Thomas in a swing for the second time. He had just awakened from a long nap so he wan't totally with it yet but he still seemed to have fun!

Sweet Potatoes!

As you can see Thomas is a big fan of sweet potatoes. So far he has enjoyed all of his solid food this much. Feeding him is a very messy affair but totally worth all of the laundry.

A New Skill

While Thomas still thinks crawling is fun and an excellent mode of transportation - he has aquired a new skill...standing! Thomas is pulling himself up to stand at every opportunity he gets. I bet he'll like walking even more than crawling! Look out!
